ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The National Youth Conference 2025 (Confab) is Nigeria’s largest youth-driven dialogue platform, bringing together young voices from all 360 federal constituencies, six geopolitical zones, and the diaspora.

Convened by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development based on the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR , to promote  youth involvement in decision making  and to harness input into government programs

The conference also empowers young Nigerians to shape national policies, propose innovative solutions.

This is more than a conference, it is a national movement for youth-led development, inclusion, and action.

Presidential Commitment to Youth

His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has placed young Nigerians at the heart of his Renewed Hope Agenda, declaring that the nation’s true wealth lies not in its natural resources, but in the energy, talent, and potential of over 130 million youths between the ages of 15 and 35.

Through landmark initiatives such as the student loan programme, the appointment of young leaders to key ministerial roles, the National Talent Export Programme (NATEP), and digital economy reforms, his administration is actively creating pathways for youth inclusion, innovation, and opportunity.

The Confab is a powerful reflection of this vision—mobilizing youth voices from all 774 local government areas and the diaspora to co-create the Vision 2035 Resolution, a generational policy blueprint for national transformation.

President Tinubu’s message is clear and unwavering:
“Youth will not be exploited to do the bidding of the government. Instead, our administration will work with and for the youth, providing them with a platform through which they may fulfil their greatest aspirations.”

This is more than a promise—it is a strategic investment in the nation’s future. Under President Tinubu’s leadership, youth are not just being heard; they are being empowered to shape a more just, prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria.

Honourable Ayodele Olawande,
Minister of Youth Development

What the minister has to say

His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has always believed in giving young Nigerians a voice in national governance. His administration is committed to creating platforms—like the Youth Help Desk, the Youth House, and now the National Youth Conference—to ensure that young people can engage, contribute, and feel genuinely connected to their government.

As Minister of Youth Development, I was tasked with closing the gap between government and youth. This conference is not just a symbolic event—it’s a practical step toward youth-led solutions that will shape national development.

While critics say government does not need a conference to hear the youth, what we need now is structured input, clear ideas, and unity of purpose. This is our chance to move from talk to action—and to leave a lasting legacy as the generation that helped build a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

The National Youth Conference 2025 opens with a powerful signal: Nigeria’s future must be shaped by all her children, wherever they reside. Through curated virtual sessions, young Nigerians across Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East gather to deliberate on the Conference’s six thematic pillars. These diaspora dialogues ensure that global perspectives are not peripheral but foundational, affirming that nation-building begins with inclusion and that the Vision 2035 agenda is enriched by voices from both within and beyond the country.
