About Us
The National Information Technology development Agency Computer Emergency Readiness and Response Team (NITDA CERRT) Was established April, 2014 in response to the increase in the rate of cybercrime and in fulfilment of the requirements of the National Cybersecurity Strategy.
By implication of NITDA’s mandate, NITDA-CERRT functions as a government cert, coordinating and facilitating information sharing, providing mitigation strategies and recommendations for incident response and recovery, researching and analyzing trends and patterns of incident activity for government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with extension to the private sector as well. The unit has two subunits; (1) Event, Incident and Vulnerability Management and (2) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Vulnerability Assessment
Our Fusion centre consist of a cyber monitoring centre that monitors, co-ordinate and support its constituency’s Information Communication Technology Infrastructure;
Cybersecurity Education and Awareness
Cyber Forensics Laboratory analysis and resolve cyber security incidents as needed in Nigeria for Nigeria and her partners
Incident Handling
We are intent on building the capacity of Nigerian human resource base by leveraging on train-the-trainer methodology.
Objectives
- To build national cybersecurity readiness by fostering the development of Sectorial Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs)
- To ensure a secure cyber space by providing a trusted platform for networking, collaboration and information sharing between relevant stakeholders.
